Glenndale Pedal Plane

You have found the official Glenndale Pedal Plane website.

It's that time of year, again!  Time to dig deep in your pockets in support of a great cause.  Construction of this years pedal plane has begun, in anticipation of putting a smile on children's faces.  Check out the "About The Plane" page to see a gathering of pedal planes.  Then click on "How You Can Help" page to learn how you can buy raffle tickets to help out SMA Support.

Through your help in the purchase of raffle tickets, $880 was raised for SMA Support for 2013.  Let's make it a record year for the 2013 Glenndale Pedal Plane!

The pedal plane is being raffled off with all proceeds going to SMA Support.  As a professional woodworker who likes to fly in my spare time, I decided to combine these passions for a great cause.

A Little Information About SMA:

SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) is a neuromuscular disease passed on genetically to children by their parents. SMA Affects a child's muscular development.  All muscles are extremely weak, with the weakest muscles being the legs, upper arms and neck.  Also affected are sucking, swallowing, digestion and breathing.

SMA is the Top Genetic Killer of children under the age of 2!

1 in every 40 people carry this gene.

1 in every 6,000 children are born with SMA.

Drawing will be held on September 22, 2013!

This is the 9th plane built for Glenndale Days.  Glenndale Days is a gathering where the Glenndale/Sheridan pilots club invites the community out to Glenndale airport to experience flight, fellowship, and supporting a worthwhile cause.  The date for this year's  Glenndale Days is September 21 & 22.  Please click on the link to go to Glenndale's website for more information.

Congratulations to Dennis Roche of Indiana,
